The second call will be open between the 3rd of June of 2024 and the 15th of July of 2024, while the last call will be open between the 2nd of September of 2024 and the 13th of September of 2024.

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates are required to have completed a degree in Mathematics, or in a related field, of one of the following types:

  • a Master degree (second cycle of higher studies in the European Union Bologna system);
  • a Bachelor degree (undergraduate degree of 4 or more years in the pre Bologna system);
  • any degree legally considered equivalent to one of the above.

Applications from candidates that expect to satisfy the previous requirements before the fixed starting date of their doctoral studies within the program are welcome. If accepted, the admission will be conditioned to the completion of one of the required degrees. If the academic degree has been awarded by a foreign institution, its recognition/equivalence to a Portuguese degree might be necessary.

Exceptionally, candidates whose scientific, academic and professional curriculum demonstrates ability to pursue doctoral studies may also apply. It is up to the Steering Committee to evaluate whether these special conditions are met. For this purpose, instead of the certificates of qualifications, candidates should include a transcript (official listing of courses already completed and the corresponding grades).
